These important changes reflect the new exam syllabus created in 2012 for the ISTQB Advanced – Test Manager, the ISTQB Advanced – Test Analyst and the ISTQB Advanced – Technical Test Analyst. If you are unaware of the history of this software testing certification, you may not know that although there are three distinct advanced certifications, there was only on examination syllabus created which covered all three exams. One of the major changes in 2012 was the move to a separate syllabus for each exam. This is great news to any software tester considering studying for this exam. Its a lot easier to focus on a dedicated syllabus rather than trying to pick-out what information is relevant to a particular exam.<\/p>\n

The three new 2012 ISTQB Advanced syllabi include a lot of material previously unknown to those familiar with the older version. It is now important more than ever to ensure which ever training material you use, to ensure it covers the 2012 exam syllabus and not the previous one.
